The book covers the full syllabus of Microeconomics-II and Indian Economy meant for B.Com (Hons. & General) 4th semester course under CBCS of Calcutta University. The first part of the book covers a portion of Microeconomics starting from pricing under monopoly and ending with the theory of profits. The second part covers all current topics on Indian Economy. It concentrates heavily on the growth performances of the Indian economy during the reform period starting from 1991. Keeping the syllabus in mind, the title gives a broad overview of India's growth story and focuses on all the sectors of the Indian economy including the external sector. In addition, the two perennial social problems, poverty and unemployment, have also been given renewed focus here.
